Pickleball Fundraiser Details (tournament and lessons)!
In May, after we sponsored to the super fun MHS Lacrosse for Literacy Showdown, our club was proud to donate $1,500 to "Leap for Literacy" - a local literacy organization.
Founder, Stan Tucker, visited our club in person to accept our donation which included $1,000 that we raised through the lacrosse event plus $500 from the Rotary Club of Peachtree City (our club sponsor).
We also received over 100 book donations at our event which were donated to Bloom.
The first MHS Lacrosse for Literacy Showdown: Girls vs Boys sponsored by Interact was a huge success. Check out the awesome photos from this event below.
On January 11, 2022, our Interactors participated in the national Blue Campaign to fight human trafficking.
In January of 2022, Grow Counseling joined our meeting to help our club members learn how to manage stress. This was a favorite meeting among club members and we will definitely invite Grow Counseling back.
GROW Counseling is a group of professionals dedicated to helping clients of all ages find balance, growth, and health. Individuals, couples, families, and groups are seen at three locations throughout the city for concerns such as grief, depression, anxiety, relationships, addictions, eating disorders, stress management, parenting, and career transition.
One of our first guest speakers for the 2021/2022 school year was Steve Ivory. Steve Ivory is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Peachtree City. In this role, Steve’s leadership helped the club achieve the prestigious award of Club of the Year for District 6900 made up of ~70 clubs. Steve was also chosen for the Sheffield Award. This award is presented to the top 5 presidents across the district for their leadership.
Steve spoke to the club on personal branding as an aspect of developing leadership skills. Steve engaged the club and we would love to have him back next year!
